This chapter is taken from ‘Vetalpanchavishi’ which is full of amazing incidences and tells several values of human life. Chapter 6 – भ्रान्तो बालः

He even requested to sparrow and dog but the sparrow was busy taking care of her little once while the dog was busy doing duty for his master. This is a story of ‘Mahabharata’ when Lord Arjun and his son Abhimanyu encountered each other. Prince Uttar, son of King Janak came across the ‘Kauravas’ and had war with them. Abhimanyu was fighting from the Kauravas’ side and could not identify his father as he was in disguise as a female. When he was told the identity of his father, he felt very proud of his father seeing the sacrifice he was doing for the truth.
Chapter 8 – लौहतुला:
This chapter is taken from the famous book of stories ‘Panchatantra’ by Vishnu Sharma. The story tells the students about the bad result of extreme greediness. The story narrates how a greedy person was taught a lesson by a smart person in a ‘tit for tat’ style. Most Panchatantra stories give society a strong summary of the life and a very important message.
Chapter 9 – सिकतासेतुः
This is taken from the 7th part of ‘Kathasartsagar’ by Somdev. In this, a child is taught a lesson about reaching the goal by taking the right path as there is no shortcut or other way to reach the final destination. The child is shown to get knowledge just by praying which is not the right path as we need to study to get knowledge.
Chapter 10 – जटायोः शौर्यम्:
This famous incident is taken from ‘Aranyakand’ of ‘Ramayana’. This tells students about the loyalty and bravery of Jatayu. Despite his old age when he saw Ravana taking Seeta by force, he came ahead to stop him from doing so and fought till he was alive.
Chapter 11 – पर्यावरणम्:
This is a short essay about the role of the environment in our lives, the reasons for pollution, which is responsible for it and why and how can it be overcome.
